An important requirement to be a successful entrepreneur or entrepreneur is to lead a healthy life, since only then can we have enough energy and vitality to perform all the activities that involve creating and running a business.
Eat healthy foods
The higher the percentage of healthy foods that we include in our diet, the better and more energetically we will feel. We should always give preference to light and healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits and cereals, and avoid as far as possible heavy and harmful foods, such as red meats, fried foods and sweets.
If we eat slowly and chew the food well our body will perform a good digestion and, therefore, will absorb better nutrients from food. On the other hand, if we eat fast and do not chew food well, our body will expend extra energy in performing digestion and, as a consequence, we will feel tired.
Do not eat much in the evenings
At night our body has the function of cleaning the body of toxins and other impurities, so if we eat a lot we will make it work too much and as a consequence, we will hamper our sleep and wake up tired. We should avoid eating much at night, especially heavy or elaborate meals, and eat at least two hours before bed.
Drink plenty of water
Drinking plenty of water helps us to have a good digestion, helps us clean our body, and keeps us hydrated, thus avoiding dehydration whose main symptom is tiredness. We should always give preference to water when we thirst, and drink plenty of water throughout the day, but avoid taking it during meals because we could make digestion difficult.
Avoid drinking alcohol
Consuming alcohol causes fatigue, affects our nervous system, and is not only harmful to our health, which can cause liver and cardiovascular diseases, but is also one of the main causes of motor vehicle accidents. We must avoid alcohol consumption, or at least limit consumption, for example, when we have some social commitment, but always always with moderation.
Smoking causes fatigue, affects our nervous system, and not only is harmful to our health, can cause respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, but also is harmful to the health of the people around us. In case of smoking, the simple act of quitting could do more for our health than any other measure we could take.
Sleeping well is necessary for our body to cleanse our body well, recover energies, and release tensions. We should try to get a good night’s sleep, but not too much as this could also be harmful to our health. It is advisable to sleep between 7 to 8 hours each night, although in some people your body may require fewer or more hours.
Regular exercise allows us to have a good physical and mental state, helps us to cleanse our body, helps us release tensions, and gives us the feeling of well-being. We should try to play some sport, go to the gym, go jogging, bike or at least walk every day as much as we can.
Deep breathing helps us increase the influx of oxygen to the brain and, therefore, to relax and have greater mental clarity. We must breathe deeply through our noses whenever we are in a tense or stressful situation, although in order to always be able to react well to these situations, we must acquire the habit of deep breathing at all times.
Practicing meditation helps us to be calmer, to react better to tense or stressful situations, to feel more energetic and vital, and to be more creative. We must acquire the habit of practicing meditation regularly, although if we find it difficult to achieve it, at least try to have moments of tranquility where we try to minimize our thoughts.
Avoid negative emotions
The best way to be strong energetically speaking is not doing things that make us increase our energy, but avoid doing things that we exhaust, being the main one of these having negative emotions. We should avoid having negative emotions such as fear, worry and anxiety, and instead seek to have positive emotions such as joy, optimism and confidence.
Balancing work with rest
Too much work depletes us, causes us stress, and blocks our creativity. We must learn to balance work with the rest, for example, taking frequent short breaks between our daily activities, or taking us whenever we consider necessary one or more days of worry, to help relieve tensions, clear our minds, and return to work.
